The resurgence project features Cecilia Smith on the vibraphone, Lafayette Harris and Carlton Holmes – piano and Hammond organ; Kenny Davis – acoustic bass; Ron Savage – drums; Carla Cook – vocalist; and, Sheila Anderson WBGO Jazz 88.3 on air host providing voice-over. Smith is thrilled to finally be able to share the completed project with attendees and fans on the live stream. She'll talk about how the project is progressing and what each track means to her, as well as the legacy of Mary Lou Williams. Along with the discussion Smith will premiere some visuals from the ensemble recording at Power Station Berklee NYC, where she and Savage are alums. Zoom 7pm
